Today, on 5 August, the President of the Supreme Court Valentyna Danishevska has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei.
Valentyna Danishevska is perceived that recently the relations between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China in the sphere of justice, economics, industry and trade have got rapid development; both parties are interested in enhanced interstate cooperation.
The SC President remarked that the great potential for investment, particularly, of Chinese capital in our state was observed. Ukraine actively improved its positions in “Doing business” ranking and consistently implemented the reform of corporative management, and the success of the judicial reform shoul have significant impact on the investment attractiveness of the state.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine thanked the Supreme Court for the invitation and emphasized that it had been very on time in the view of the desire of the People’s Republic of China to enhance the cooperation with Ukraine and the exchange experience of the implementation of justice sector reforms.
Du Wei remarked that the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine would promote the establishment of dialogue between the highest judicial institutions. One of the important steps in that sphere would be represented by signing the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Supreme Court and the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China, since China shared Ukraine’s desire to develop the interstate cooperation.
