SC President Participated in Official Opening of Restored Building of the Seventh Appeal Administrative Court

On 10 July in Vinnytsia city the President of the Supreme Court Valentyna Danishevska and the President of the Administrative Cassation Court within the SC Mykhailo Smokovych participated in opening of restored local architectural monument – the building of the Seventh Appeal Administrative Court. The event took place within the Days of Administrative Justice.

Valentyna Danishevska remarked that except for the restored building the court also demonstrated active implementation of innovation approaches, which would promote the optimization of the activity of the whole judicial system of Ukraine.

“I am pleased to be present at this solemn event. Today, I have made sure that in this very court the future of the judicial system – e-court – is being produced. I would like the rule of law to be established in this building to ensure the balance between the law and justice. So that politeness, attention, sympathy to human problems prevailed in halls, hearing rooms and offices”, – the SC President underlined.

Mykhailo Smokovych reminded about the history of administrative justice establishment in Vinnytsia region and drew attention to its positive achievements.

The Chief Justice of the 7^th Appeal Administrative Court Vitalii Kuzmyshyn informed that in this building one hundred years ago the Minister of Justice of those days Dmytro Markovych had founded the administrative justice. The Chair of the Court noted that the restored house had again become an architectural jewel of the centre of Vinnytsia. He also drew attention that this was a judicial institution of European model.

The Chair of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine Zenovii Kholodniuk, member of the High Council of Justice and judge of Zaporizhzhia Circuit Administrative Court Oleh Prudyvus, the first President of the High Administrative Court of Ukraine and retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Oleksandr Paseniuk, chief justices of Ukrainian courts and representatives of local authorities have also participated at this event.
