The Supreme Court Database of Legal Positions has been supplemented with case law reviews and digests

From now on, the Supreme Court Database of Legal Positions contains not only court decisions but also case law reviews and digests. Their integration into the Database not only provides access to these analytical materials but also enables convenient searching of their content.

Users have access to a search of the texts of case law reviews and digests with the following possibilities:

🔹 keyword search – it is sufficient to enter a word or phrase for the system to find the relevant fragments of the texts of reviews or digests in which they appear. From the search results it is possible to go directly to the page containing the text of the corresponding legal position;

🔹 rapid refinement of search results – by means of filters the selection of documents can be limited to the case law of the relevant cassation court, the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court, the European Court of Human Rights or the Court of Justice of the European Union;

🔹 advanced manual search – for more precise searching it is possible to define the selection parameters independently, in particular to choose the type of document (thematic or periodical review, digest), the category of legal relations and other necessary criteria.

The placement of case law reviews and digests in the Database is a further step in the development of the Supreme Court’s modern digital tools. It makes it possible to work with analytical materials as quickly and conveniently as with the texts of court decisions, which will contribute to a more effective search for relevant case law.
