Supreme Court judge joins Norwegian UA-KLAR Project to promote knowledge on investing in Ukraine

26 june 2026, 09:32

Kostiantyn Pilkov, Judge of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court and its official spokesperson, has joined the Norwegian UA-KLAR project, an initiative aimed at promoting knowledge of Ukraine's investment climate, the role of the courts in ensuring legal certainty for investors, Ukraine's European Union accession process, and efforts to ensure accountability for war crimes and human rights violations committed during the war.

One of the project's principal areas of focus is raising awareness of the legal framework governing investment in Ukraine, which is of critical importance for the country's post-war reconstruction. Norway's public sector plays an important role in facilitating trade and economic cooperation, while Norwegian companies are exploring opportunities for investment and partnership in Ukraine. This has created a growing need for a deeper understanding of Ukraine's legal system, its ongoing reforms, and the country's European integration.

At the invitation of Professor Yuliia Chernykh of the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN) in Lillehammer, Norway, Kostiantyn Pilkov took part in the recording of a podcast discussing the role of the Supreme Court in ensuring the consistency of case law in Ukraine, fostering an arbitration-friendly judicial approach that is important for investors, and addressing the challenges faced by the Ukrainian judiciary in the context of the full-scale war.

The UA-KLAR podcast series is available on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/033frTVnS1IQinBfLb6k3a.
