A meeting with representatives of the Ukraine2EU project – the European Union’s flagship programme aimed at assisting Ukraine in preparing for EU membership through strategic and expert support to state authorities responsible for implementing reforms – took place at the Supreme Court.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the current status of the implementation of the Rule of Law Roadmap, key challenges in its execution, and identified areas for further support from the project to ensure the effective implementation of its provisions.
President of the Supreme Court Stanislav Kravchenko emphasized that despite the extremely difficult challenges facing Ukraine amid the war, our state remains committed to its goal and is making every necessary effort on the path to European integration. He also informed that last year a working group was established at the Supreme Court to ensure the implementation of the Roadmap measures, which is systematically working on the realization of the necessary steps.

Stanislav Kravchenko thanked the representatives of the project for the visit, noting that this meeting would contribute to a deeper understanding of the potential for cooperation in the European integration process and help develop specific approaches for further collaboration.

In turn, the project’s Special Advisor, Gabija Grigaitė-Daugirdė, highlighted the significant role of the Supreme Court in the European integration process, stressing the need to consolidate the efforts of all parties implementing the Roadmap measures in order to overcome possible differences in positions and establish constructive cooperation, the ultimate goal of which is Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
The meeting was also attended by Judge of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court Vitalii Urkevych, Acting Head of the Supreme Court Administration Rasim Babanly, and Ukraine2EU project expert Vladyslav Petrovskyi.
