As part of the joint project “Enhancing subsidiarity: support to the ECHR knowledge-sharing and superior courts dialogue” (the Subsidiarity Project), aimed at improving access to knowledge about ECHR practice in Ukraine, the Supreme Court continues its work on translating materials posted on the ECHR Knowledge Sharing Platform (ECHR-KS).
This time, the Supreme Court has translated the Rules of Court of the European Court of Human Rights - a fundamental procedural document that outlines the organization of the ECHR's work and that of its Registry, as well as detailing the procedure for examining both individual and inter-State applications, and requests for advisory opinions under Protocol No. 16 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. In addition, the Rules of Court are accompanied by several practical recommendations addressing issues such as the application of interim measures under Rule 39 of the Rules, infringement proceedings before the ECHR, requirements for just satisfaction, and more.
