As part of a dialogue moderated by Iryna Hazdaika-Vasylyshyn, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, the President of the Supreme Court outlined the challenges faced by the judiciary during wartime, as well as the factors influencing public trust in the courts. He also spoke about the institutional dialogue established between the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and shared his reflections on the rethinking of constitutional values in today’s realities.
In addition, the participants discussed issues related to remote judicial proceedings and considered the feasibility of establishing a system of military justice.
The event was organized by the Aspen Institute Kyiv in cooperation with the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine.
