Starting from 30 May 2025, the ECHR will be headed by French judge Mattias Guyomar

Today, on 28 April, the European Court of Human Rights has elected its new President during a plenary session.

Judge from France, the current President of Section V of the Court, Mattias Guyomar, was elected as the new President of the ECHR, replacing Marko Bošnjak.
