The Constitution stipulates that Ukraine is a law-based state governed by the rule of law, and human rights are its greatest value. At the same time, it is important not only to declare, but also to ensure compliance with these constitutional provisions. This is the role of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
This was emphasised by Stanislav Kravchenko, President of the Supreme Court, during a solemn meeting of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the occasion of the expiration of the term of office and resignation of judges Viktor Kolisnyk, Viktor Kryvenko and Volodymyr Moisyk.
The SC President expressed his gratitude to the retired CCU judges for their hard work and contribution to the development of the state and protection of the rights and interests of citizens.
Stanislav Kravchenko also noted that the judicial community will do everything in its power to ensure that the Constitutional Court of Ukraine resumes its work in full as soon as possible.
The event was also attended by Borys Hulko, President of the Civil Cassation Court of the Supreme Court, Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Denys Maslov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, Dmytro Lukianov, Acting Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Andrii Pasichnyk, Chairman of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine, Bohdan Monich, Chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Serhii Dembovskyi, Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Maksym Dyrdin, Permanent Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and Ivan Dombrovskyi, Chairman of the Association of Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
