The Supreme Court will host an international scientific and practical conference entitled 'Mortgage Readings'.

On 5 December 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the Supreme Court will host an international scientific and practical conference, organised jointly with the Civil Platform NGO, entitled 'Mortgage Readings'.

Private (civil) law constitutes the foundation and the essence of the rule of law based on a market economy, and mortgages, as an institution of private law, and mortgage lending as a financial instrument, are reliable and effective means of attracting investment, significant financial and socio-economic factors that will assist in addressing the challenges associated with the economic recovery of our country.

The objective of the event is to discuss the state of legal regulation of mortgages in Ukraine, its theoretical and practical aspects in view of current legislation, case law and development prospects.

The discussion will be attended by judges of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, international experts, representatives of public authorities, academics, notaries and the bar.

The event will be held at the Civil Cassation Court of the Supreme Court, located at 28 Povitrianykh Syl Avenue, Kyiv.
