As part of a study visit organised by the Bureau of Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, Supreme Court Judges of the Criminal Cassation Court Nadiia Stefaniv and Oleksandra Yanovska visited the judicial authorities of Indiana, including the Indiana Supreme Court.

The Ukrainian delegation attended the trial of a criminal case in the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Indiana and then participated in a discussion with women judges on the procedural features of the trial.

The participants in the visit also met with representatives of NGOs and governmental organisations involved in providing assistance to victims of human trafficking and women who are victims of domestic violence, and learned about the work of shelters and centres for women-victims of crime.

Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation took part in the annual conference of the National Association of Women Judges of the United States "Setting the Pace for Justice", held in Indianapolis (Indiana, USA). The participants discussed the following topical issues: "The crime of genocide: understanding the legal concept through modern threats", "Helping judges understand artificial intelligence", "Human trafficking: identifying hidden victims of human trafficking and exploitation", "Cultural and ethical considerations in judging", "Cyber violence: when a leader becomes the victim", etc.

After the conference, the Supreme Court judges received certificates from the National Association of Women Judges of the United States.
