The international conference “Implementation of the Rule of Law: Role of the Supreme Court in modern conditions” will be held in the SC

Dear colleagues, on 20 January 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the online international conference “Implementation of the Rule of Law: Role of the Supreme Court in modern conditions”, which has been rescheduled because of the missile attack to Ukraine on 16 December 2022, will be held in the SC.

The event is organized by the Supreme Court in cooperation with the Council of Europe Project “Support to the functioning of justice in the war and post-war context in Ukraine” to mark the 5-th anniversary of the SC.

The President of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Kniaziev will give a keynote speech at the conference. Among the participants of the conference there will be the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić, President of the European Court of Human Rights Síofra O'Leary, judge of the ECHR in respect of Ukraine Mykola Gnatovskyy, President of the CJEU Koen Lenaerts, President of the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union, President of the German Federal Сourt of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof) Bettina Limperg, President of the UK Supreme Court The Right Hon Lord Reed, presidents and judges of the supreme courts of the EU,  international and national experts.
