The Public Council of International Experts (PCIE) and the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine (HQCJ) held a special joint meeting to consider the compliance of candidates for the positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) as a first-instance court with the criteria set out in Part 4 of Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On the High Anti-Corruption Court."
Seven candidates who had successfully passed the previous stages of the competition participated in the meeting. The PCIE and HQCJ evaluated their compliance with the criteria of integrity, lifestyle compliance with their status, and their knowledge and practical skills necessary for handling cases under the jurisdiction of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
Joint meetings of the HQCJ and PCIE are a key stage in the HACC selection process. As an auxiliary body of the HQCJ, the Public Council of International Experts ensures that candidates for the positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court meet the criteria of integrity, knowledge, and practical skills.
