The Ethics Council has taken a decision regarding candidate for the position of the HCJ member nominated by the President of Ukraine

On March 16 the Ethics Council took a decision on compliance of candidates for the position of the member of the High Council of Justice nominated by the President of Ukraine with the criterion of professional ethics and integrity. 3 candidates for the position of the HCJ member nominated by the President of Ukraine were recognized as compliant with the criterion of professional ethics and integrity. The Ethics Council has recommended these candidates to be appointed for the position of the HCJ member by the President of Ukraine:

1. Oleh Leonidovych Koliush;
2. Ivan Volodymyrovych Nazarov;
3. Lesia Anatoliyivna Muzyka.

The Ethics Council also adopted a decision concerning candidates who do not comply with the criterion of professional ethics and integrity for filling in the position of the HCJ member. These are:

1. Olena Oleksandrivna Hovorukha;
2. Yevheniia Serhiyivna Demenkova;
3. Illia Mykolaiovych Kravchenko;
4. Svitlana Mykolayivna Kustova;
5. Oleksandr Abramovych Melnikov;
6. Oleksandr Yuriiovych Serohin;
7. Mykola Ivanovych Siryi;
8. Oleksii Anatoliiovych Shevchuk.

We would like to point out that 3 other candidates submitted applications on withdrawal from the competition, including 1 before the interview and 2 after the interview. We would like to remind that 13 candidates for the position of the HCJ member nominated by the President of Ukraine were admitted to the interview.
