The Ethics Council held final interviews with candidates for the position of the HCJ member as nominated by the Congress of Judges of Ukraine

On September 26 and 28 there were held sessions of the Ethics Council, during which interviews with seven candidates for the position of the member of the High Council of Justice as nominated by the Congress of Judges of Ukraine were conducted.

Hence, on September 26 the following candidates were interviewed:

- Olena Kruzhylina, judge of Kharkiv Court of Appeal;

- Serhii Stopnyk, judge of Commercial Court of Ternopil region;

- Yuliia Bokova, judge of Commercial Court of Donetsk region;

- Tamara Yudenko, retired judge of Kyiv Court of Appeal.

Hence, on September 28 the following candidates were interviewed:

- Serhii Burlakov, judge of Cassation Civil Court within the Supreme Court;

- Oleksandr Sasevych, judge of Lviv District Administrative Court;

- Halyna Kanyhina, judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

We would like to remind you that the interviews were held remotely in the videoconference mode.

We would like to point out that these candidates were the last ones from the list of candidates admitted to the interview for selection for the position of the member of the High Council of Justice as nominated by the Congress of Judges of Ukraine. Now the Ethics Council should adopt a final decision regarding compliance/non-compliance of the candidates with the criteria of professional ethics and integrity.
